Japanese Calligraphy

Calligraphy has been a traditional art form in Japan for many centuries. Influenced by Zen Buddhism it expresses “the soul” of the artist in its practice. The art of calligraphy has also been associated with the traditional martial arts and in particular swordsmanship and Aikido. These pieces are unique hand written by a professional Japanese calligrapher. No two are alike.
